I am a postgraduate researcher in the School of Environmental and Natural Sciences, with a research focus on ecology, conservation and the interactions between humans and wildlife. My broader research interests include human-wildlife conflict and understanding how anthropogenic pressures influence species, ecosystems and ecological processes. I am particularly interested in how changes to landscapes and human activities can affect wildlife movement, habitat use and population connectivity.聽

My current research investigates functional landscape connectivity between Lesser Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros) roost networks in the Conwy Valley. I explore how landscape features influence bat movement between roosts, integrating landscape modelling, acoustic monitoring and non-invasive genetic approaches to better understand patterns of connectivity. This research aims to improve understanding of how landscape structure influences movement and population connectivity, while contributing to the conservation of this species and the habitats on which it depends.聽
