My teaching career began in Llangollen, North Wales, where I worked as a Humanities teacher and met my husband. We married in 2001 and soon decided to embrace an exciting new challenge by taking our teaching careers overseas.
Our adventure led us to Cairo, Egypt, where we lived and worked for nine wonderful years. During this time, I developed a passion for supporting learners with additional needs, studying for an Advanced Diploma in Special Educational Needs while teaching in a Learning Development Department and undertaking a variety of pastoral leadership roles. Life in Cairo was both professionally rewarding and personally enriching; I became a PADI Divemaster, explored a fascinating new culture, and welcomed the arrival of our first son.
Our next chapter took us to Prague in the Czech Republic, where I joined a large international school as Pastoral Director while continuing to teach within the Special Educational Needs Department. Living and working in such a vibrant international community was a fantastic experience, and it was here that our family grew again with the birth of our second son.
Returning to Wales, I continued my commitment to inclusive education by working in a Special School before becoming Deputy ALNCo at St David's College, Llandudno. Alongside my professional roles, I pursued further academic study, completing a Masters Degree in Education Studies and graduating in 2026.
Today, I am proud to serve as Programme Director for the National Masters programme at 成人VR视频. I also hold an Assessing Practising Certificate (APC), am an Associate Member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and have worked as a diagnostic assessor at the university for the past four years. Throughout my career, I have been driven by a passion for education, inclusion, and supporting learners to achieve their full potential, whether in Wales or across the world.
