You're invited to join us between 12.30 - 1.00pm at the on Tuesday, 21st July 2026, for the launch of the 成人VR视频 Forestry Alumni Association.
We're very grateful to our friends at Confor (Confederation of Forest Industries UK) for hosting our session on their stand where you will hear from 成人VR视频 staff, students, alumni and supporters, followed by the opportunity to catch-up with old friends and reconnect with the University.
The programme (subject to change) will include:
- Welcome
- Introduction to the 成人VR视频 Forestry Alumni Association
- Presentation on Forestry at Bangor: Present and Future, Prof. John Healey
- Alumni Reflections "How Bangor Forestry Enhanced my Career"
- A word from RFS, ICF and Confor representatives
- A summary of messages of support from other bodies
- Closing remarks
- The opportunity to catch-up informally over refreshments
We would be delighted to welcome as many alumni, former members of staff and sectoral colleagues as possible to the Confor stand for what promises to be a great afternoon.
There is no charge for the event (apart from entry to the Royal Welsh Show) but we would be grateful if you could indicate interest in attending by emailing alumni@bangor.ac.uk, by 19th June 2026 if possible.
Can you help?
Since a key purpose of the Alumni Association is to help foster recruitment to undergraduate and graduate forestry-related courses, as well as to sectoral research projects at Bangor, we welcome short written testimonies from alumni about how their study at Bangor has helped their careers. We would be delighted to receive a short paragraph from you with your name, country, dates and course at Bangor along with a summary of you career path, what attracted you to Bangor and why it remains important to you. (Please preferably use Microsoft Word and, send your statements to alumni@bangor.ac.uk, preferably by 19th June).
In a similar vein, we are also seeking to develop a short video about how Bangor helps nourish careers in and around forestry. Hopefully, part of this would be included in a loop on view at the stand during Tuesday 21st and Wednesday 22nd July. If you or the organisation with which you are associated have a short video clip which you would like to be included in the loop, please let us know by 19th June on: alumni@bangor.ac.uk. (Please make the clips available in one of the following formats: MP4, AVI or MOV, preferably with sound, and sub-titles if relevant) . We would also be pleased to hear from you if your organisation would have any means to sponsor and/or help produce materials for the stand and launch event (e.g. video clip, pop-up banners, freebies, support for the participation of current/recently graduated Bangor students).
Please pass on this information to any of your alumni contacts who might be interested in attending. We hope to see you there!
