Why is the foreshore vested in the Crown? Well, actually only 50% is. How did it get there? Does this chime with modern expectations, sat the 鈥淩ight to Roam鈥? The work traverses Roman Law, Saxon law, through the Norman Conquest and the current 鈥減rima facie鈥 position. What do other jurisdictions do? How to balance private law rights with Joe Public鈥檚 aspirations.
