I'm an experimental biochemist working at the Centre for Environmental Biotechnology at Bangor. I'm currently affiliated with the Enviromental Biotechnology Innovation Centre (EBIC) and Preventing Plastic Pollution with Engineering Biology (P3EB) UKRI mission hubs, where I contribute to the discovery and characterisation of pollutant transforming enzymes and the engineering of microbial strains for use in environmental biotechnology.

My previous doctoral work focused on the discovery and characterisation of plastics active enzymes through in silico mining of marine microbial metagenomes.
